President of India Pranab Mukherjee will inaugurate the Prabasi Odia Conclave to be held at New Delhi 2017 from January 6 to 8 next year.
Odisha Forum which is going to host this conclave is a leading think tank based in the national capital and is working for the cause and development of Odisha.
Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan,Industry Minister Debi Prasad Mishra and Tourism Minister Ashok Panda will also grace the three-day event, said sources.
While achievers in different areas of expertise will be honoured with the Prabasi Odia Samman 2017 on January 6 at Hotel Ashok, the evening will be concluded with the cultural program by ICCR, said the Official.
Three significant seminars will be conducted on the topics of Odisha’s development issues.
The participative panel discussion will be on future of Odisha, Soft power and Industry, digitalisation and skill development.
A special lecture will be delivered by renowned mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik on “Global,National and Local Mythologies.
Three eminent Odia dancers shall be presenting the Odissi dance of the culturally rich Odisha.
The dignitaries will be greeted with traditional Odia cuisine on January 7 at Hotel Ashok.
The event shall come to its end with the visit to Neemrana in Rajasthan which will be platform for innovative ideas for the development of the state.
We aim to create a platform which will help in accelerating the process of development and growth of Odisha, said the Organizer.
Odisha Forum functions as a Think Tank and helps in bringing together prominent persons to meet periodically and deliberate on issues related to Odisha.
The members include former Judges of Supreme Court of India, former Chief Secretaries of Odisha, retired and serving bureaucrats, eminent doctors, academicians, artists, students and other professionals, the Official said.
