Chandrabhanu Patnaik is the next Editor of The Samaja.
Mr.Patnaik will succeed the incumbent Editor Sarat Mishra.
Mr.Mishra, a respected name in the field of journalism will be retiring on 2 May.
This has been decided by the Board of Management of the Servants of the People Society (SOPS) at their meeting recently held at Vadodara.
However Mr.Patnaik, who was Editor of The Samaya is taking over as Executive Editor of The Samaja on 10 March.
And will become Editor from 2 May.
Mr.Patnaik’s career in journalism spans more than 25 years in the state.
A product of Ravenshaw College, Mr.Patnaik before venturing to journalism has taught English Language and Literature at a Degree College at the Capital City for 7 years.
Regarded as a key Political Commentator of the State, Mr.Patnaik takes keen interest in the development of Odisha’s art, architecture, literature and culture.
He is the youngest Editor in the history of the oldest News Paper with 90 years of legacy.
The Samaja will greatly benefit from Mr.Patnaik’s journalistic acumen, analytical news sense and penchant for truth and justice.
