Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare lauded the initiative of all women Rotary Club of New Horizon for their innovative approach to empower the unprivileged women through Home Nursing.
Governor of Odisha, while giving away certificates to 24 school drop outs felt that Project Seva was a fitting tribute to International Women’s Day.
Project Seva, the brain child of Dr.Bijoya Mishra, Director Vocational Service presented the Report Card.
Abhay Kumar Srivastava, Chairman & Managing Director, NALCO, known for his humanitarian approach has extended all out support for this innovative and useful program.
Mr.Srivastava, who graced the occasion, said NALCO will support more of such programs in future as Home Nursing is much needed in this growing city.

Rotary Club of New Horizon in collaboration with the Jagannath Mission College of Nursing organized the program to impart 3-months training to the hapless school drop out girls and to save them from exploitation and discrimination.
The 3-months training included a practical internship at Capital Hospital with the support of St.John’s Ambulance and Red Cross.
All these girls were selected from 500 applicants from all over the state.

They were provided free accommodation and food also.
Entire program was funded by Nav Ratna PSU, NALCO and for which Dr.Mishra expressed heartfelt gratitude.
Jyoti Singh Deo, President of the Club outlined various activities to empower women and the underpriviledged.
Sandeep Das, Vice Chairman of the Jagannath Nursing College said that they are proud to get involved with such a great noble cause.
Ceremony was attended by galaxy of VIPs including S B Mishra, former Chief Secretary, Mangala Prasad Mohanty, Secretary Indian Red Cross of State Branch.

Dr. Mishra giving out details to the media said that there is a great deal of demand for Home Nursing Care and these students are ensured of better placements.
She said that there is overwhelming response to the advertisement seeking services of Home Nurses.
K Onanma, Supervisor of the college was felicitated on the occasion.
